A Street Called Hoffnung

An old one. I thought I'd posted it here, but couldn't find it. Image is free to use in acc. with CC4.0-SA It shows the Stasi Museum.

Struthio

Not the name of a minor Shakespearean character, but the genus Linnaeus first applied to ostriches, which once upon a time was applied to the Emu and later not. Escaped common ostriches in Australia have established feral populations. Image from pixhere.com and doctored by me.

The Myth of Olympians

I have played and followed sport all my life. I am thrilled by the endeavour, skill and sheer bloody-mindedness it takes to be the best at any sport. I just can't see the point of these Olympics, which are devalued by how they will be conducted. I really think a cancellation would have been better. Thousands of disappointed Olympian athletes, I know, but still... Image from wiki-commons fiddled with by me. Licence: CC BY 2.0
