My stories

Where the Daisies Grew.

I knew my way from there and a small part of me really wanted to take in all the changes

Sunday Morning

Andrea ran heavily after the tiny dog, her body aching and exhausted was no match for that of the young dog.

Golden Haze

Before me lay the golden haze of light but it was disjointed somehow, directly in front of me the grey mist had returned, like a silent silhouette. I recognised the form instantly and although I was lying on the owner's grave I felt no surprise. I felt a chill though, the grey mist was evicting the golden haze from my body, she was trying to take over.

Eddie

Edward stared at his hands. He turned them over and stared at his palms. He looked at his wedding ring, the thick strip of gold encircling his finger, and he sighed. At 57 he still remembered how these hands had looked when he was a young man but could make no connection between the youthful and idealistic Eddie he had been in those days and the disillusioned Edward he had become.

The Silver Coin

Jason was beginning to lose patience with his wife. Helena had been getting steadily weaker since the day she was born, and despite the three healthy sons they already shared Diana had become fixated with her newborn. She hadn't left the house since the birth, just spent her days praying to Hestia in front of the fire. Jason knew the child was a lost cause, he just wished that his wife could see this for herself. He knew he would have to order Diana to abandon the child soon, but for now he would leave her alone with her daughter, just for one more night.
