Wow, this is really sweet and touching. The lady in the photograph looks so happy. Music can be a medium for time travel. She must have so many wonderful memories.

You've captured the violence

You've captured the violence of a storm, the cleansing effect and resulting sense of something changed, a new beginning, a metaphor for so much. I love 'winds whipping spume' and the solitary egret - creepy how they take off and silently fly.

This is beautiful Di_Hard. The drama of these stormy February days together with quieter aspects of nature hiding in the woods, 'jade lichen, acid bright moss'. Somehow you've captured the time of year perfectly. Wonderful poem, loved reading it...

Brilliant rhythm. Poor girl, why are some people's lives so wretched? 'A twenty two year old has been' is stirring. I enjoyed the short poignant lines and the rhyming. It's like a series of strikes and mirrors that poor young lady's childhood.
