Suddenly, like a trained seismologist, the mother senses a light tremor and a look of uncertainty spreads across her concerned visage. The vibration increases until the ground shakes with the force of a minor earthquake. Unexpectedly, a huge beast bursts through the closed back door, shaking the glassware in the nearby Hutch cabinet as it enters. Eyes glaring wildly, its mouth drooling like an open water main, it grunts an incomprehensible query in the mother's direction.

Sylvia awoke, her heart beat furiously. Emotions heightened, she shook from the frightfulness of the dream. She remained still, trying to make sense of the nightmare. She then quietly rose, so as not to wake Ted and went into the study. She began to type furiously, adding to the lines from her dream:

The Two Peas Of Shady Pines
When Rose declared Sally Mae and her, "Thick as Thieves," she wasn't far off. These two women played what could only be called, "Contact Bingo." They always sat together, and worked as a team, surreptitiously sliding tiles back and forth to one another, in a manner that would have done a magician proud. When sliding a tile was impossible, they would just use one of their many other ruses and strategies to accomplish their goals. Sally Mae would knock a tile off the table, or Rose would suddenly have one of her coughing fits that only seemed to come on her during Bingo.

Dooleyism
Within a month, there were three hangings in Texas, two in Colorado and one in 27 other states. Each was a homeless man either named Tom Dooley, (see: Dooley Mania) rhyming with the name, or with the name pinned on the body.
