I wish mine would speed up. Great pics, I was most surprised by Lou and Juliet's neither of you are anything like I had imagined you. Where is Andrew's pic? I am intriqued to know why he is no longer Ginger(ish).

There IS no pic of Andrew. He doesn't care too much for cameras in his face and I repected his feelings about it. There is however a pic I took of him at a Derby meeting which is available on James' site, posted with his approval. There is also no pic of myself or any group pics. Everybody else present is included. I wouldn't have said he was ginger anyway, more of a blonde colour. It's occurred to me before, but I've never heard it discussed, why is it ok for women to dye their hair any damned colour they want and it's met with approval, but as soon a s aguy does it it's either frowned on or draws sarcastic remarks, (not that anyone here has made any, I just never understood the social double standard).

I wanted the user name Ginger - I coloured my hair bright as could be for years, and earned the nickname. Funnily enough, I mentioned this to Andrew who neglected to mention this was his user name. How strange is that? Lisa

Probably because it wasn't his user name, at least I don't recall him ever using that name.

Andrew was never called ginger, but I'm fairly certain he was ginger (although that was the first time I've met him), and if Camus thinks so too it can't just be my imagination. Any overt form of vanity tends to be looked down on amoungst men, we can't wear makeup or jewlery either. I was at a bbq last week and you should have seen the looks on a couple of gruff northern types when a metrosexual london type started applying face cream. It was hillarious.

No I don't dye my hair, let alone die it. I have no need as yet, much to the chagrin of my three brothers, all of whom are either grey or white and have been since they were ten years younger than I am now. If the need arose in the future and I felt I wanted to, I would have no compunction about it though.

It's just that vanity is stereotypically more of a woman thing. I've dyed my hair a few times, and only occasionally had a negative reaction.

I think Andrew is more a sort of strawberry blonde rather than ginger (well that was the general concensus from Fish and Pesk on Sat night after copious amounts of wine.)

Although this thread may seem nice it isn't. Yan's comment is a) divisive and b) sick. Medusa-head is basically saying that all the men are ugly. Both these statements go against the abctales code of conduct. I demand that both members are banned forthwith. Yes, I am Mykle in disguise.

joe_novak IS Stormy; all the mummies ARE yummy and the daddies ARE ugly. _I_, however, am neither Stormy OR ugly. I _might_ be considered yummy, to a discerning few.
