Song of David
By Steve
- 1094 reads
O Lord, I beseech you to forgive.
I am your most loyal servant.
I have sinned.
I have gravely broken your words.
Heal me of this wound...
the mad curls of her luscious hair,
kisses that pluck the thorns of one's senses...
her love was like your love for Israel,
soul to soul, we made love
all night long, hair to hair and heir to error,
forgiving, piercing each other's lobes,
washing our faces
with tears woven of sorrow and ignorance.
Saul has killed his thousands.
David has killed tens of thousands.
Uriah has killed his hundreds of thousands?
How could I bear it Lord
to be in the same seat as Saul,
envious
perhaps even hiving homosexual feelings...
perhaps even defeated
by sin?
I was chosen by you to create
your kingdom on earth.
How could I refuse Bethsheba?
Could Adam refuse Lillith?
The more glowingly she spoke of Uriah,
the sweeter our love
as sweat entwined with honey...
I anointed her with kisses
and her breasts multiplied liked flowers
like petals, one after the other
awakening to face
the naked rays of the sun.
There are some
who fret and twit...
who are afraid to lie
but would assist in killing.
there are some who are uber-moral...
when they lose control,
they are like children.
I, Lord, am your most loyal servant.
Do not judge me on one sin.
