We sat and stared at his scrawny face, the excitement as the door bell rang and his "friend" made the drop off.
Whats it to be then chinko, ya look like your clucking,
He just burned it up and hit it in one, that was that. I can't be around these people, no control. Off with his head and wasted for the rest of the day, probably going out robbing later.
That was it for us, coats in hand and out the door, we had seen enough.
This was when things turned sour and delightful, it was like that moment in a dream you only have twice in your life, the one where you suddenly realise that it's all a dream and the laws of physics don't apply.
We began to float and seperate, I went my way, he went his, back to his bedroom I suppose.
The street lights faded out until day and night could no longer have any meaning, darkness was fleeing, light was just a thought away.
I tinkered with my environment and found that I could pick and choose how I wanted the world, control was mine to mould.
Fear approached, maybe I was losing it, after all this was only a dream, I hoped.
I had floated up to the edge of the sky and seen a tall building, the grey on the walls crawled around like a creeping installation of bland boring greyness. All part of the great plan to bore us to death...
My mind was fuzzy, was this still a dream I thought, then I seen it.
A shimmering deep abyss, the murky black ripple on the surface as a bubble exploded and beckoned me in. Last time I got this far I put my expedition off, but not today.
I dived in and sank deep in until I broke through the otherside, the horror of what i saw.
The only way to describe it is to paint a picture in your mind and unravell it bit by bit.
Imagine the title sequence to you've been framed, the one with all the cassettes on some sort of production line, and the gold one has ybf imprinted on it, the tapes are all spinning round like a revolving wardrobe, now imagine your playlist for the ipod, the one with all the cd covers rotating around.
This is difficult, this is exposing myself what I truly am,
ok here goes,
I peered deep into my own murky abyss and all i saw was a rotating vhs collection of eddie murphy films.
Oh the horror, the horror.
