The Lottery Win

"WOW I've won the lottery,
a life changing amount I can see."
I go down to the shop, ticket in hand,
feeling slightly opulent and grand.
I hand my ticket to the lady,
she looks at me a little hazy.
"I suppose we won't see you anymore,
when those representatives come knocking at your
door."
"Oh don't be silly," I explain, "all that money
won't change a thing."
"Oh yes it will." she said to me, "before you no it
you will be free. You will leave this town, buy a
big house, live a millionaire life with your spouse."

Do you no what she was right,
it happened so quick,
it was like riding a bike.
One minute we were in debt with finance,
the next we were holidaying in the South of France.

I have to say with dismay, that all our friends
went away, all the people we once knew, suddenly
did'nt no what to do. Then there were the hangers
on, I wish that they would all be gone.
Now I don't no what to do, the money's there, but
there is no you!
You left cause you could not stand the pace,
now all I'm left with, is egg on my face.
I wish the money had'nt shown,
cause all I want is you back home.
