THE CHOSEN ONES ( PART FOURTEEN )

After a morning of rain, the sun slowly started to
peek from behind the clouds, the grey skies that
had been, would make way for another glorious day.
Deep in the forest a family of bears were returning
home to their cave, they were tired and needed sleep, although the young cubs were still in a
playful mood rolling around. Suddenly one of the
cubs was distracted, he had seen a hedgehog and
it seemed more interesting than the game they were
playing.
The young cubs had never seen anything quite like
this prickly creature. As they approached, padding
along, the hedgehog sensing danger curled up into
a ball and stayed very still. One of the cubs decided he would try pushing the hedgehog with his
nose, until he got a nasty prickly shock, he let
out a little squeaky growl, as he backed away, this
brought his mother padding over to see what all the
fuss was about. She saw the hedgehog and nuzzled the bear cubs on with her nose.
The male bear smelt the air, he could smell food, but also sensed danger, he growled at the top of
his voice, for his family to stay where they were.
The mother bear rounded up her cubs and they waited. The male bear moved cautiously towards the
smell, as if by some kind of miracle, the bear
stopped at the edge of Nathen's pit, the bear pulled away the branches with its large paws, he
stared down at Nathen, licking his lips.

Hi Jenny
Hi Jenny
I thought the bears were going to find the family with all the little kids. But now they have found Nathan, maybe they will somehow manage to effect his getting out - hopefully with out being in bear sized pieces.
