THE CHOSEN ONES ( PART SIXTY TWO )

Jermiah had dismounted Shadow, he hid in the undergrowth, staring up into the sky with wonder.
He wanted to save Evelyne and Meradith, but was too
afraid to leave his hiding place, in the tall grass.

Meanwhile, the others back at the cave, had seen
the body of light in the sky, they felt a need to
leave the cave and follow the light, even though it
was dark and they would have to travel on foot, also leaving the animals behind in the cave. The
wagons couldn't be used, because they didn't have
the horses to pull them, but they had the torches,
so they set out almost immediately.

As they walked Bess explained to Bella and the
others, that she had a funny feeling, that this was
their once in a life time chance to make contact with their ancestors.

She explained that she had remembered seeing these
lights, when she was eight Winters old, 'a very
long time ago,' she thought to herself.

"Why are they here now?" asked Bella.

"I cannot say, but they have obviously come here
for a reason," replied Bess.

The body of light just hovered for most of the
night, it could be seen from far away.

By now many people and wagons had appeared, it
seemed like everyone from across the land, wanted
to see this spectacle.

People were travelling down from the North, as if
by word of mouth, news travelled fast. Everyone
wanted to see these lights.

Martha and her family and friends, stood and watched. Tears started to fill Martha's eyes, she
knew this was a day, that would go down in their
history, with the people of their Earth.

She wondered if future generations would believe it. She had been just a baby, when these lights had
appeared last, but her Mother and Father, had told
her about them saying, "be sure Martha, one day
they will return again!"

Martha had believed them, trusting in her parents
words, now she wept with happiness, for she knew
these lights were here to help them, it was just
a feeling.
