Love's resilient fragrant kiss,
Rest's upon these settled lips.
It leaves its ever precious mark,
As the sweetest rose upon my heart.
For rising slowly up behind me,
The blackbirds gentle morning call;
Touches this soul ever so slightly,
And adds to the sheer wonder of it all.
For it echoes though the silver trees,
while enhancing the busy buzzing,
of the heavy honeyed bumble bees.
Oh how Life's fragility sings its song,
while in my hands I feel so strong;
Yet know, deep down, I have not long,
Before my time here is finally gone.
So with a smile I say adieu...to all of you

Just found this one Andy. It
Just found this one Andy. It is very beautiful and positive. Well done! I think that if we weren't inspired by other great poets and lyricists then the world would be so drab and dreary, don't you think? I think it is quite okay to "steal" from them too!
