What if I’ve had my day?
…it’s finished?
…I'm done?
No more notes to play?
…no other song to be sung?
…race already run?
Pure, empty
…silence
No more emotional violence
I could put my pen away
…make friends
Go to football games
…shout and curse at the referee
Not fret over universe
…or soul
Just be free
…watch TV
…a popular boy I might be
Brain bursting with Corporate Knowledge
…laptop coffee on the train
Staring at
…porridge
tells me that I’m wasting time
screwing with
…stolen words
…forced rhymes
If only I could stop
…eating up sleep
…shitting on peace of mind
If only I could hear
the words there’s
…all left to say
She’s drop-dead gorgeous
…looks a lot like a Renault

Parsons, really good effort
Parsons, really good effort I liked it a lot. Especially so the last dozen lines, this section in my opinion is where the real feel and the feeling of this piece starts to be revealed. Great effort as always, thanks for sharing.
