NOSFERATU

A crucifix and garlic sprigs can't save you now
Nor a plea for deliverance
From the darkling that lurks
In lengthening shadows and turbid hollows
To drag you down in deathly murk.
Holy water and a stake cannot halt your demise
Blessed, sharpened or otherwise.
Lessen the fear
And succumb to the will
Of a rabid demon thirsting to kill.
Not a hope for daylight
Could signify a cease of frenzy
From its ferrous feast
And the voracious unrelenting thrust
Of its glistening fangs delving amuck.
No deity shall pray for your soul to keep.
They're abhorred by the fervour
And wowed by the greed;
The incessant need of this guzzling beast
Won't desist 'til the claret flow has ceased.
Fighting for your life is futile now.
It's too late for that,
You're already drowned in the fever fire
Coursing through veins,
A bloodthirsty craving that won't refrain.
Metamorphosis is all that awaits for you.
Yet a bedevilled soul plagued with doom
To hunt for blood and tear at flesh
In attempt to quash hell
Beneath your breast.
You've embraced the torment
Now feed the seed
As destiny is set on a hallowed eve.
A twist of fate can be so cruel
When you become the Nosferatu.
So run without fear
By light of the moon
For soon they'll come to hunt for you;
To track you down, cast you out
And ensure your fall without a doubt.
Flit and fly, flee away fast
Before they come, before your last
Fleeting moment drenched in red,
When they sever their prize
Of a Dark Angel's head.
