Though not a fan of Dallas. I will always remember him as Major Anthony Nelson in 'I Dream of Jeannie' beside the beautiful Barbara Eden. A charismatic and charming actor.
Thanks for reminding me of I dream of Jeannie - i really liked that but had forgotten about it. Dallas and Larry Hagman were a part of my childhood when I was allowed to stay up late, thrilled by the sound of the theme music, and JR's smooth evilness, which made an impression on me even then. RIP Larry
Hi all :) yes very sad to hear the news of larry hagman and another life lost to cancer, such a waste. But I have fond memories of Dallas and loved what they have done with the new Dallas, just a shame Larry never got to do a second full serious.
But I bet he's watching from Dallas Heaven Rance :)
Such a brilliant actor.
He played an early version of JR in 'Stardust', a David Essex movie which, along with its companion piece 'That'll Be The Day', were two of the finest British music films ever made.
Absolutely not! David Essex before he became a professional cockney, great cast (Ringo Starr, Keith Moon, Adam Faith etc), produced by David Puttnam, written by Ray Connely. Miles better than Spice World or The Boat That Rocked, and certainly on par with anything The Beatles ever did. Trust me on this one...
Of course .. otherwise l wouldn't dream of commenting. Was kind of meant to be funny, but, hey .. Just as well we are all different, l think !! As usual, no offence meant to the waistcoated one's many fan xx
Sorry, I posted that before I read the rest of the post, and now I can't delete it. Probably me being thick.
Took my wife to see David Essex earlier this month. He's still got the voice, but I could have done without all the middle-aged sorts running down the front throwing their knickers at him!!!
