The Meaning Of Life

I’ve been on the floor
more times than a shite boxer.
But always got up again
like a true champion does.
Life? A box of chocolates?
Bollocks, it’s a minefield.
The scars of life are
ingrained on my skin
A fight, a burn, an accident,
A tattoo, a lover’s temper.
All here, living their life
On a part of me.
A man, a real man
Gets up each day and
Goes to work, each to his
Own different set of rules
Always food on the table
And shoes for the kids.
Did a bit of bird once
No sweat, time off
As far as I was concerned
Easy peasy, just did it
Fucking boring actually
But missed fresh air.
Life is a roundabout
Get on and get off
Sometimes your head's
Spinning and you need
To stand still for a while
Sometimes you just
Love the rush.
