The Babysitter part 1

Leslie was very nervous about going to the Johnsons’. She had to babysit their two children and she had never had to watch kids before, however she was on her Fall break and needed to make some extra money. As she was pulling into the driveway she started telling herself everything would work out great, she would watch the kids for a couple of hours and then get paid when the Johnsons return. When she saw the house she was astonished at how big it was. It had to be at least three stories and it looked very elegant as well. It was made of large stones and had a very nice front porch. Leslie got out of the car and started walking towards the house. “How bad could these kids possibly be?” she asked herself as she neared the steps to the porch. She couldn’t help but notice the grass glistening in the moonlight and all of the beautiful leaves laying on the ground around the tree line as she was making her way up the stairs. Before she knew it the door quickly swung open and Mr. and Mrs. Johnson were standing in the opening.”
“Hey there,” Mrs. Johnson greeted warmly. “The boys shouldn’t be too much trouble, and if anything were to come up, then the number to reach us is on the refrigerator. There’s money on the table for pizza, drinks, and a movie. We don’t want you to be bored once the kids fall asleep. Their bedtime is nine-thirty sharp, and please don’t let them eat too much junk food before they go to bed. We should be back around eleven.” Mr. and Mrs. Johnson then quickly sped out the door to their car and drove away into the nice, November night. Leslie wondered why they were in such a big hurry to leave but decided that more than likely it was because they haven’t had much time to go out in a while seeing as they have two children. She then started exploring the house. She couldn’t help but notice that everything they owned was very nice. She made her way through the kitchen and into the living room where she saw their two sons, Adam and Tyler sitting. Adam was the eldest with blonde hair and Tyler had short black hair. Both of the boys were slightly plump as well.
"Hey boys I'm Leslie, what're your names?"
"I'm Adam and this is my brother Tyler.
"Well it’s nice to meet you and I think we're going to have a great time tonight," Leslie said excitedly.
"Whatever you say," muttered Tyler.
Leslie wondered why he seemed so gloomy but just brushed it off and decided to watch some TV with the boys. They were watching her favorite TV show, it was about a crazy family who was always getting into insane situations. This was her favorite episode and the boys seemed to really be enjoying it as well. Everything seemed to be going fine until she heard a very disturbing sound coming from upstairs. It was a very slow scratching sound, as if something were trapped. It didn't seem to bother the boys though, so she thought they might not hear it. To avoid frightening them, she decided to go check it out by herself. "I have to use the bathroom boys, but I'll be right back." Leslie crept slowly down the hall until she got to the steps. "This looks just like a scene from a scary movie," she muttered sarcastically as she took her first step up the stairs. By the time she had made it to the top of the stairs she noticed it had gotten much colder, then she heard the scratching noise again, this time accompanied by heavy breathing. It was coming from down the hall and around the corner. She started to slowly make her way to where the sound was coming from. Step by step she made her way down the hallway as the floor settled underneath her. When she got to the end of the hall she looked right and noticed something strange. A door that wasn't painted like all of the other ones, it was simply brown and looked heavily worn. She then heard the slow scratching noise again. "Well I guess this is it," she said timidly as she slowly started to open the door. As Leslie wearily grabbed the door knob she thought she heard the light sound of footsteps behind her. She shivered and then turned back to the door. She turned the knob and the door creaked open. Before she could do anything she noticed a small dark figure running at her from the stairs in the room. She didn't even have time to let out a scream before it got to her. She quickly shut her eyes. In this short instant of time, she saw her life flash before her eyes. She saw herself on her first day of school and every day in between. She even saw herself as she was leaving for the Johnsons’ and her parents telling her to be careful. When she opened her eyes she couldn’t believe what she saw.
