Life Poem

I look at life and its
nought but a flock of cares
An idling fancy intriguing here and there
We love, we lose, we wallow, we die
And all the while complaining we have no TIME
Yet ever waiting for the clocks to chime
I listen deep, long and hard
Searching for some meaning in our embryotic state
Is there truly a being that dictates our fate?
A collision of colour, thoughts and fears
A mass protest throughout our time on Earth
An intolerable voice inescapable from birth
We’re swooned and groomed in youth’s short years
Then expected to wait on death till we’ve lost all sense
With few thoughts to future not in past tense
Is this our life to those out there
A squalling mass ever searching its past
Knowing only too well the future cannot last
