Trauma
Laying in a pool of my own blood,
Crying out my fear and pain.
I will the blackness to take me,
But I'm still here.
Laying helplessly at the side of the road,
People crowd around to help, to watch.
I long to be taken somewhere safe,
But I'm still here.
Laying in an unfamiliar room,
Medication dulling my senses.
I want to go back, to undo the past,
But I'm still here.
Laying in my bed contemplating the future,
Mourning all that I have lost.
I would rather be dead than live like this,
But I'm still here.
Laying down plans for the future,
Acceptance finally overcoming hopelessness.
I nearly allowed this to destroy me.
But I'm still here.

A poingnant poem in the beginning...but hope at the end of the tunnel.
I thought you delivered a great read, that shows its possible to get through most things; if you just hold out for another day.
