To The Girl That's Not Sung
I know a lot of sad stories to begin to tell you one
But this is for the girl, whose words are not sung,
The strength in her heart, the tears that she bleeds
Are felt by the millions she stands up and meets
The wounds that she tears, the scars that she cares
Show the ones that she loves that she'll always be there.
But what breaks the heart for the girl that's not sung
Is her freedom to live, has never begun
She walks in a prison, tip toes on the edge,
To lie in her bed and forget she's not dead,
Her head in a quarrel, her cries as she sleeps
For only one person she's waiting to see,
Let's sing for the girl whose words are not sung
Her hearts in a piece, in need to be strung.
