Am I Lucky (2) ?

I spoke too soon. The phone rang and I was transformed into Hurricane Forest (my pen name not a real hurricane) dislodging all before me to be somewhere else, thirty miles away yesterday if you know what I mean.
I must have made more comebacks than a 'punch drunk' boxer still convinced he can do it.
Yet I was glad because the spark WAS still there and the exprience, observational scanning skills and intuative intervention were all there.
Teaching suffers from a great deal. Political whims, over-ambitious career minded self-centred egotists and an ever changing landscape of requirement.
Retirement does suit me and part time also. I am more relaxed now and it shows. Of course I have to keep my focus on the learning and the needs of the individual, but the pressure is gone.
I have seen more workplace bullies in teaching than any other profession and I've been in a few believe me. So I keep out of it and concentrate on what really matters: making the learning fun and making it matter.
