Flatfish,
scat, fish,
find yourself
a match, fish,
a Sprat, fish or
a Catfish – whichever
kind you wish, fish. If your
name is Jackfish time to make
a splash, fish, so bait fish and Skate,
fish, take yourself a mate, fish. Does
no good to pout, fish although you be a
Trout, fish – pretend that you're a Queenfish,
find yourself a dream, fish. Maybe you’re a Shrimp,
fish but no one dates a wimp, fish; don’t act like you’re
a fool, fish – sparkle like a Jewelfish.Shack up with a Sunfish,
have yourself some fun, fish or be cultured as a Pearlfish, set suitors
in a whirl, fish. Be sharper than a Knifefish, woo yourself a wife, fish.
Quit acting like an Angelfish drive those she-fish crazy, fish. Stay
frigid as a Stonefish – you’ll live your life alone, fish, moreover
be a bold fish, never good as Goldfish. Stop making like a
Dogfish and hearts for you will throb fish; be brazen as
a Swordfish, bag yourself a broad, fish. But better
make it snappy, fish or settle for a Crappiefish;
don’t dawdle like a Snailfish – grab them
by the tail, fish! You really are a
Goosefish, so let it all hang
loose, fish and if you be
a Cuttlefish, give it tons
of muscle,
fish

no
 excuse
if you’re a Pupfish,
time  that you grew up,
fish, even Monkfish can have
fun, fish, so just go ahead and hump,
fish. Be bold and bang your Drumfish or
ever doomed a dumb fish but one never dates an
Icefish unless one is a Firefish.  Get out there
in the swim, fish, not a Sardine in a tin,
fish ;  a man-fish needs his Ladyfish
else there’d be no baby fish.Don’t
end your days as paste, fish – a
travesty and waste, fish; be
the  one who gets away,
fish …not  the catch
of the day,
fish
!

This is so clever and such a brilliant imaginitave poem Tina,

Thanks, Jenny.  The actual writing of it in my head came too easily actually.   I could have gone on and on and onsmiley  It never ceases to amaze me how many types of fish there are in this world...and the thirty or so mentioned here, in this poem, just a drop in the ocean, if you'll pardon the pun. Such amazing names, too. The layout was quite a challenge, though, I must admit and took many hours of frustrated experimentation.  So pleased you enjoyed, which is made it more than worth it.  Have a good Monday.
