Solitude

Solitude
solitude
are you there
I beseech you
in despair
alone
unknown
awaits
beyond beside
your beckoned
gates
imagined
this
a calm and
peace
made known
in chanced
replenishment
from sights
and lights
and sound
displayed
intense
in time's
rushed
overlay
ears turned
deaf
reveal
replete
assaults of
sounding
rail
so seized
that numbed
the body's
mind
feld
held
at bay
deplete
stripped
resigned
gates
approached
in gait defined
tired
footed
step
behind
there...
and then
beyond...
lay inclined
rooted
solitude
open
bare
so stepped
between
pillared
fare
I find
essense
your
design
take hold
within...
air
this breath
has emptied full
aloft
in gentle
sacred silence
due
become
reality's
imagined
bliss
and I am this...

Serenity
Solitude. 'Gentle sacred silence'. At peace content with your own company.

A painfully honest, moving,
A painfully honest, moving, haunting reflection upon solitude: the reasons for being alone, the uncertainty, the loneliness but ultimately - as Nolan says - self sufficiemcy and peace of mind.
