Boudicca

Her star-bright eyes shine boldly defiant, 
A banner cry against hard frenzied fists;
Who belong to the hands of a wild tyrant, 
A cold eternal one from the mists.

There her eyes shine: and here do they linger. 
Releasing a smile on my rusted lips;
I trace their shape with delicate fingers, 
Feeling their light, how my soul does eclipse.

And though we are, by times curse, far parted,
Divided by a season and-a-day, 
I will be as defiant, and unbroken hearted;
A reformed soul made in reshaped clay.

Her star-bright eyes shine brightly thereafter, 
From death and decay: this worlds’ terrible end. 
But though this world dies, these eyes they will linger;
To be born, re-born, re-born, and reborn again.

Boudiccia !

Thas what came to mind reading this. I was thinking of a writing premise recently based on boudiccia, ( I hope I have spelt her name correctdly ) and your poem fits neatly in.

Thanks for the positive feedback Stephen. 
and no I hadn't consciously; however, I have begun reading "the hero with a thousand faces", I met a new friend on Facebook. whose picture grabbed me. I was also given a poem about nature, and all three elements came together. 
I can say the muse used me on this one.

It was a very fluid write. Upon reflection and rereading the notebook, this was crafted out of four pages. The line born, born, born and reborn again, relates to the textbook "the hero with a thousand faces"  is not my own. it is part of the first chapter that considers the role of the hero/ine and his, her position both relating to dream states, and to mythology. (Its also not  Campbell's words either, but relates to an ancient Buddhist text about the death of existence, which naturally needs to rebirth.

Andy as I mentioned I am about to begin writing a feature film script and would like to use your poem in the script if you give me permission. When I complete script I have plans to try and move the project forward. Its a long shot but well anyway basically clearly if the film was ever made you would obviousley be credited accordingly. But do I have your permission to use this poem in my film script. Like I said is about boudecia coming back to life in modern london.

I know how to write film scripts and have written one before so is a series project for me.

I mean im not expecting the script to make it to film but hey you never know.

If you say no I completely understand.

Hi andy sorry I not get back sooner. Eh, the collabaration on a project sounds quite an interesting idea. Are you talking about film ? I think that writers working together on projects creates a whole new creative dynamics so yh I mean what kind of project are you thinking about. I mean im up for that. How would we work it ? But I am in the middle of moving flat just now so realistically if we were to try and do something together for me the new year would be a better focused place to start on something. I love the idea of writers working together on a project. I mean im pretty creative and am never short of ideas but im not a professional or anything but yh I like your ideas and the boudicia premise fits if it was this project your were thinking about. I dont really want to write my initial ideas here because people do use other peoples ideas but I would like to show you my initial ideas around this script to see what you think.

I get the flat move thing. Moving is distressing.  I  have bought final draft software. which is Industry accepted   I was planning two screenplays, one:  A TV adaptation of the time machine, but scarier than the original and a bolder adaptation of the Shining. which has been a pet project for months/ years. 
both are unfinished and need a second draft. 

again the New year is fine with me. I am busy myself, so I'm fine about the time. 

re the name change; yes, I thought a lot about it, and realised that it was a great title. 
yes, artists should help each other.
