Traffic Wardens.

Yesterday I saw a clip on the news of a traffic warden been beaten up in the street, getting his head kicked in! As I didn’t listen to the news, I wasn’t sure what happened, it looked pretty vicious.
Today I went to get a take away for someone who couldn’t go themselves, outside the take away, there is double yellow lines and across the road it is only for taxis and disabled parking.
So, I stopped right outside, I’d already rang in my order and had found out how much it would be and I had the right money ready.
At the counter, I kept looking back to my car to see if a traffic warden was there or not as I was ready to run out! The Sales Assistant who was doing the take away, said to me, “Go and stand outside by your car, for what they do is hide by the wall, two shops down and write up the ticket from there, and then when they have written up the ticket, they walk up to the car and put it on!” I was shocked and said, “That’s the pits, that’s really bad, there should be free parking outside all the business.” He went on, “Many Customers don’t come to my take away, as there is no where for them to park.”
I told him. “That’s a shame.” Then I quickly went outside, and was relieved, that there wasn’t a ticket on my car, nor could I see a traffic warden. The Sales Assistant brought the take away to me and I sped off quickly!
It was very stressful.
