Spaghetti

Should I teach you how to cook a proper spaghetti Bolognese?
You’ve got to learn how to make things from scratch.
I looked on your shelves and you don’t have any decent pans.
Let’s go to the kitchenware aisle. I’ll buy you a big wok
and a spatula. Good crockery and cutlery makes me happy.
Let’s get fresh ingredients. garlic, red onions sweet chilli sauce.
I might buy us matching aprons - I’m in one of those moods.
I can’t think of any better way of spending my week with you
than cooking together. You need to learn to enjoy food.
I’ll teach you what the herbs do. We need oregano, basil, rosemary.
Cooking is the one time you are truly yourself. Loud music
a bottle of red wine. You keep saying it's been too long
since you saw anyone. Let’s fill this trolley. Invite people round,
who wouldn’t want to be the one who cooks nice food for everyone
and when people think of you they’ll say you make the best ever
spaghetti Bolognese. I will teach you. This is what homes are for.

:)
Apart from an inevitable argument about the best way to cook spaghetti, cleverly done in it's seeming simplicity, so much said of the sharing and creation of shared rituals as base line for a social and internal structure for relationships.
Best
