Everyone Has a Reason

Earle is a man whose smile

overwhelms shyness – his sins

behind him – found Jesus

and now life has no bounds.

A wife and two children adore

this man. Once the ‘hog’ he rode

brought nightmares to a community

where the law was slack

and citizens afraid to complain.

They say Religion can turn one

who has long smelled of terror

but that was long ago. Now

he kneels at night – family

by his side – and speaks the

name of Jesus – He who heals.

Very nice Richard! Often it happens like this as was in our family, it is very much our story and with my late dad. Unfortunately things did not turn out well.

I always appreciate your comments, Nolan. From my career in Social Services, I met so many emotionally damaged men (I was one) due to a variety of circumstances. After 40 years I forgave my father for his screwed up personality which he inherited after four years of being in the RCAF in WW 11. I had such a wonderful release and my hate turned to love and forgiveness. Dad passed now.
