The scabs of time

have often

laid us low

but you have been

there each time—

 

Your Holy Presence has

always been caring

loving and forgiving.

 

Please allow us

the preciousness of

a similar understanding

when others

speak against us

or cause us

words of pain.

Amen.

It's hard to be misunderstood and misjudged, isn't it? Praying to accept criticism that is right and grace to benefit from it, and respond graciously when criticism seems wrong and mistaken but not possible to persuade! Rhiannon

I truly believe writing is a soothing for the soul. Many of my poems and short stories and one novel is for our youngest son Scott who joined our family at age nine in 1976..Esther & I just spoke to our son, Scott calling from a hospital in ABBOTSFORD, BC. He has been there for the past year since the fire in the home he escaped from. We had no idea where he was until tonight and he is suffering life-threatening lung damage -- please join us in praying for him. Many hugs and love from Richard and Esther.-Dec 29, 2019.

I am very sorry to hear of the misfortune Richard. It is terribly sad. We are with you and loved ones in our thoughts and prayers and we too hope for recovery. Everything is possible with God.

Thank you exceedingly much, Tom.. My wife reminded me last week about our physical limititations on this earth and we now are almost completed for our funeral arrangements. Even though we believe in the hereafter, our bodies must be taken cae of and that is reality. In the meantime I believe we must try our best to encourage others, to love our family and friends and especially to be a beacon for others to follow the good trail we blazed. And to never give up trying.
