Flustered time drives the world:
Ineptitude wrangles in its hold,
Birth breaks its course unseen,
Tumbling past Pluto’s gate.
Human heads stir in fallow patches,
Picked for lanterns in the night.
We nest like fledging swallows,
Waves breaking just so far below.
