is like a
rattlesnake
alert in the daytime
and subdued
at night
yet within shadows
it can arrive
without fanfare
or it strikes with delight-
without it leaves
do not rattle nor tinkle
from the boughs of
gleaming birch
nor scatter clouds
of mosquitoes who
consider humans as prey-
At times it may
provide
a soft caress
as when lovers meet.

Some wonderful descriptions of the wind in this poem Richard. Especially loved,
At times it may
provide
a soft caress
as when lovers meet.
Enjoyed reading.
Jenny.
