Tonight I Heard

voices from my

childhood

as flashes in the night

a sound of rain

running feet – & cries of

children playing hide & seek-

no way did

they need flashy I-pads

nor other electronics

that demanded

much of their time.

When hurricane Fiona

knocked out power

for two weeks

it brought

new friends together

as generations

 before & everyone played

flashlight games

like hide ‘n seek and more.
