What I Admire About Manila

 Driving around Manila the ethos of a nation

can be seen everywhere you go

its seen on billboards and signs ,

jeepneys and banners and the friendly way people say hello  .

There is something to be said for those who beg for food

And make their homes on the city street .

The resilience of survival is something rare

And something that nothing can defeat .

Philippine people have a great faith and their belief

helps them overcome adversity .

Its great to see that everywhere

under the skyway , on the side streets around the city .

The people in Manila have all the same friendly smile

and a hello how do you do.

So now its goodbye from me as its time for me to go

It was so good to have met you .

The tables we shared , the streets we walked ,

And the  same belief that we all have to get us through .
