Seriously?

Last week on the news, I heard the story of an estranged Wife. The estrange Husband and estranged Wife, were no longer together they divorced in 2015. The woman had a boyfriend now, and the estrange-Husband, asked her, “Can I come over to your house?” He added, “I want to give back your money, that you loaned me.” The ex-Husband and ex-Wife had a sixteen-year-old son together. The man went over to her house, to give her back the £500 that she had kindly loaned him.
When he was inside her house, he doused her with petrol and set her on fire! Her desperate screams could be heard.
She died an awful, planned death. He had told her, “I will kill you.” The man had also told her boyfriend, “I have sorted her, you are next!” The ex-Husband only got twenty-eight years in prison.
Somehow, the punishment does not seem to fit the crime. He will enjoy his Christmas dinner this year and every year. He will have access to fresh air, the gym, the internet, good quality food, celebrate his birthdays, he will have visitors and lots more.
Their young son, loved his Mum, and spoke with her every day, she always had lots of hugs for him. He now has no Mum or Dad.
I think, the same thing should happen to the ex-Husband. He should be doused in petrol from head to toe and set alight, and see how he likes it! I think, occasionally, when not expected, a criminal who has done such horrors, should have it done to them.
I think he is cruel and selfish, not thinking of his young son, just himself. I am glad they have shown his face on the news, so that other prisoners, can know who he is and what he has done!
Rest in Peace, Valentina Cozma age just forty.

What a horrible story and
What a horrible story and sadly not an unusual one. The punishments don't tend to fit crimes like this but to match barbarism with barbarism seems like a step backwards. You're right, that poor little boy...

I can certainly see where you
I can certainly see where you are coming from on this one. Maybe simple execution would suffice. We don't want to return to the middle ages completely!
