The Rufflegruts Of Kanderwick

Kanderwick is a quiet place ,

nothing much happens , not much is said ,

But every night when most people

are trying to put down their head

the rufflegruts come out upon the streets

with spikes on their motor bikes

and baffles in their pockets to

making sure they spread all of their dislikes .

No one is allowed to feel content with life  

at the end of the day .

  Around and around the

rufflegruts go with their maddening display .  

Pity peace of mind had no where to go

when the rufflegruts come out

with their perishable thoughts

about who and what they’re trying to be ,'

the thing is no one wants to hear a sound

when sleep can’t be found you see .
