Christmas Is A Long Time Coming

It’s a long time coming 

but that special something 

you had has gone away 

.

Sometimes I miss you more 

even more than before 

right now on Christmas day .

 

I’m missing your smile 

and the things you used to do ,

each time I think of you .

 

It’s a lonely Christmas , 

I think of times gone past ,

and the Christmas we knew .

A sad poignanat refection, and all too true for those for whom Christmas is as much the abscence of loved ones; I thought you expressed this elequently Paul.

Most people are laughing and enjoying the season of Christmas 

but there are the forgotten and lonely who lock themselves away from the world .

There are also those who have lost someone dear and Christmas 

is a sad experience .

When my dad called and you "I'm Coming!" he shouted  "And Christmas is coming too!"

Well there you have it, 360 days now or something.
