Punch me a portrait

Pain me a dream

Breath me a mouthful
Exhale me a dot
Kill me twice over

Hold my head under
Bleed me from eyes
Chop out my liver
Cover me in lies

Walk on beside me
While I feel myself run
Pour me your whiskey
From the mouth of a gun

Dig me up twice
Bury me again
Nurture my hatred
Feast on my pain

Considering I'm half scotch, and my wife's a proud Geordie by birth, I'm ashamed to say I'm not much into New Year revelries. But Burns night...och aye! Neeps and Haggis and a good whisky!

I've had great Burns nights, my partner is from Glasgow... West End. Had some great haggis. And Jamisons or another good malt! 

I was stationed with the coastguard in the Shetlands and Orkney's for five years in winter! Christ that was cold. But great times. Up Hel Ya. Rememberance sunday in the legion, great, when we'd saved the lives of some local fishermen they tret us like locals... otherwise they hated the English "white settlers" buying holiday homes and inflating the prices so locals couldn't get a place. 

But despite the horizontal snow it was great. I also love glasgow, the art gallery is a wonder. Love the architecture too. Sailed with a lot of Geordies too... it was a a laugh when we got Geordies and Machems together hahaha. Take care my friend. Happy New Year anyway and be assured i'll be raising a glass on Burns night.

I might add that as a Kiwi the neaarest we get to religious fervour is the "All Blacks", especially when they hammer the despised Astralians ...again!

I got a bottle of Jameson Irish whiskey at Christmas; being more used to Paddy's it wern't bad. I also buy Aber Falls for the price - a Welsh single malt. I've even been given Japanese whisky once. Great to see harmony in at least one human endeavor! angel

Lived in Japan for a year once.... near Osaka, lots of saki and saki kon which is saki warmed, really nice, i've been told about the Welsh whiskey before, have to try it.

Maybe you should stop being judgeemental, maybe your life has never taken you to dark places? If not I recomend them as an eye opener for the blind..... 

Your remark about what I do or did drink is quite rude, and again judgmental. Judgments should be based on empirical knowledge and are best executed with a little more conversational tone.

I had a glimpse at your bio.... I understand now.... self agrandisement is something to be considered carefully people may imply arrogance, not me though I believe we all have a freedom to speak out excepting of course rabiid neo nazis and the like. 

Congratulations, you appear to have enough cherries to populate a tree! Well done. Genuinely well done, as with your remarks about my measured alcohol intake don't let things go to your head. 

I would sincerely have wecomed your comments if they had been constructive as opposed to hinting at alcohol dependancy.
