    France is still fighting for its quality of life, while Britain has given up on it’s a long time ago! America is already down the pan, after years of Reaganomics, and Trump ripping up protective legislations! American Tumor patients wait at foodbanks and join the ranks of the homeless on the streets, while immature and lonely kids somehow acquire access to lethal weapons and go out shooting, as if they were reenacting the gunfight at the OK Corral or the Battle of the Little Bighorn with modern weapons!

    Meanwhile in Sri Lanka the people rise, and raid the Palaces of their former technocratic master politicians to demand better governance!

    Lebanon has fallen apart (once again!)! Democracy cannot work if your nation is a patchwork of sectional interests, which most voters feel obliged to vote for! They cannot afford the food they need! And their bank accounts are closed or worth nothing! As always most of the Arab World is in crisis. Only the oil rich states have enough money (or too much?), but who controls the wealth?

    In Iran the real feelings of the people are repressed and ignored, particularly of women, but of men too. They can’t even choose whether to wear headscarves or not! Religion by dictate is the order of the day as usual, as the brightest and the best of the young are sacrificed for the sake of control by the mullahs. Don’t they ever learn?

    Iraq is still rebuilding. The West toppled a Dictator, a long time ago, but they still blame the West for their civil wars. Unfortunately a hard history is learned, that true Democracy cannot be for the Arab, or for the muslim world!?
