Well, I guess it could be worse.

Outside the house, there could be a hearse.

Illness and death; the human curse.

Perhaps there's no excuse for being so terse.

But we're never far from a doctor or nurse...

So, be perverse! Shift into reverse!

Sit down and write some escapist verse!

Spent all my dosh and emptied my purse

On a trip around the Universe

Checked planets and stars, all interspersed

And I doubt I'll ever get reimbursed.
