Chocolate Box
The anticipation at first sight is similar to the first time ever you
see her, unknown pleasures that you may never experience
And, as you are offered your choice, you hesitate, not wanting to make
a mistake and choose badly
But you know the moment will soon pass like the scent of an exotic
flower on the evening air
Like a hungry fish circling what appears to be an innocent morsel, yet
not completely convinced that it doesn't conceal a deadly barb, you
just look, wide-eyed!
Then like childhood dreams and fantasies that dissolve with age, the
reality begins to permeate your consciousness
This is just an illusion, a Lorelei that beckons you onto the rocks of
disappointment, and as your blood turns cold you see the truth at
last
A husk! An empty chocolate box!
