E: Tumour humour

It lives on my cerebellum,
For four hours I couldn't remember it's name.
To make sure that I wouldn't forget it again I wrote the words 'tumour'
on the back of my hand.
Two days later I couldn't remember what it was that I couldn't
remember.
I happened to notice the scrawled word; I commented to my friend 'I'd
better get that checked out'.
"Whats that word for the growth on my brain, the thing I'm here to see
you about?"
"It's called a malignant brain tumour although the medical name for it
is a medulloblastomas," the doctor replied.
"It sounds like an award you might win for outstanding mass
destruction," I said.
When I went to America for treatment a 'u' was missing.
One less reminder, Tumor, although I suppose one is enough.
They put me under a machine called a Cyclotron.
"I feel just like James Bond" I said.
At the leaving do I read a jokey poem I'd written.
"You may have heard a rumour that I've got this tumour,
The doc was indignant, he said "Joe, it's malignant!",
But don't look back with sadness or woe,
Remember me as 'that crazy guy Joe!'
I want you to think of the bad jokes that I made,
The christmas partys where I never got laid,
I'll cut this thing short, I know I'm being a bore,
However much you miss me I'll miss me more."
