I thought there was no hope
and I tried to forget
it even started to work but yet
when i saw you and you told
of your weekend without me
something bothered, something stirred
in my heart

as we were sitting
eating and talking as friends
I thought this is the only way to be
but as we played sweet music
on the air something sends
my head to rest on my heart

so what I'm saying is
we can only be friends
but i struggle as I always want more
perhaps one day i'll forget but then
maybe I've thought that before
