? Exiled By Access
A step, a stair, a curb,
A narrow door, small print,
Cluttered aisles.
High switches, tall counters
Low, high plug points
and slippery floors
These are all barriers
And walls, fences, checks
And stiles
Like national boundaries
Slamming many doors,
Disablement disavows
A British Passport
In our British Isles
So, planners, architects,
And designers, who observe the rules
Meeting deadlines,
Holding down the cost
Ignoring the need for
Access For All
There are, after all
Too many problems on their plates,
"If we could? you know we feel?"
Let's hope the Great Architect's final plan
Will not include stairs
Leading up to
Narrow
Golden
Gates.
