OverCast
A shadow overhead falls,
Casting blackness on all.
Nothing makes sense,
Who could ever understand?
A grain of sand,
Insignificant but true.
Living in a dream,
A preferable place to be.
Nothing is ever as it seems,
Yet who could complain,
When its always been the same?
There's a flicker of fear,
As a heart fills with pain.
The crush of a shell,
Stamped on underfoot.
All that remains are the fragments,
Defected and unsure.
Reformation seems impossible,
These feelings seem so strong,
But with faith and hope,
My dream can still go on.
