Worlds

a crystal shining river curves beneath the simple sound of our
footsteps on an old wooden bridge; swans glide majestic in the
sunlight, I feel at peace
"Do you get swans where you live?"
"Yeah on the big lake we get swans sometimes."
I smile at the surroundings; they remind me of places I've been
to
my world isn't so much different to yours...
the countryside feels like home to me, I've never felt settled in towns
or cities, the restless hustle and bustle of time and people, I always
feel on edge there, anxious; I'm afraid of the world of man, I find
crowds scary, I'm not really one who can entertain others for long; or
follow the changing shifting patterns of politics and fashion
I like it better here with you, close to nature; where I don't have to
pretend
where I can just be myself, where I can talk easily, flow naturally;
where the sky makes me feel high
there's no-one here I have to try and impress, no need to fear the
quiet-
for here silences are not uncomfortable
but beautiful
