PET LOVE

Some people may ask why you cared so much for a pet.
"What's the fuss? It was just a creature/an animal."
But they weren't simply that, and you may never forget,
How they seemed to make things different and more colourful.

You recall their character, their funny little ways,
How they were part of your life, and how they touched your days.
Our pets may be gone, but may they not be forgotten.
May we hold those memories - and always treasure them.
