A Space Adventure

The Spaceship was ready for blast off. Captain Dale and Doctor
Christopher and Henry the dog were inside the Spaceship.

Doctor Christopher was making his last minute check-ups on Captain
Dale. Henry the dog just looked on.

Captain Dale is on a mission. He has to go to the Moon. He has to bring
back some green cheese. There isn't any left on Earth. All of the mice
have eaten it. Captain Dale gets the signal. It is time for Blast
Off.

10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1. WE HAVE A LIFT OFF. At last they were on their
way.
Captain Dale and Doctor Christopher and Henry the dog take some
medicine. The medicine will make them sleep. They will sleep until they
reach the Moon.

Captain Dale sets the alarm clock. It is set to wake him in time for
the landing on the Moon.

Three days and three nights later the alarm buzzer awakens Captain
Dale. He opens his eyes and looks towards the Spaceship window. Captain
Dale gasped. Instead of seeing the Moon through the window, Captain
Dale saw the faces of green men looking at him.

The green faces had three eyes. They had two antennae sticking out from
the side of their heads. Captain Dale couldn't see any noses. The green
faces had mouths, but they were very small.

Captain Dale nudged Doctor Christopher and quietly said: "Don't look
now, but I think we're lost."

Doctor Christopher looked to where Captain Dale was pointing. "Oh, Oh,"
said Doctor Christopher, "I think you're right. Do you think that they
will kill us?"

Suddenly the door burst open. A green man rushed into the room. Henry
the dog sat up. He bared his teeth and growled loudly. Captain Dale and
Doctor Christopher just stood there open mouthed. They thought that
they were about to die.

The green man smiled. "What are you afraid of?" he asked. "We don't
want to harm you. We saved you. You see you were just about to crash
into the side of the Moon, when we spotted your spaceship. We pulled
you on board our spaceship with our tractor beam. We have been waiting
for you to awaken ever since."

Captain Dale and Doctor Christopher were relieved. They thought that
they were about to die. However, Henry the dog didn't understand any of
this. He only understood dog language. He didn't understand human
language. He certainly didn't understand what this funny looking green
man was saying.

Henry the dog did understand that his masters were in danger. He jumped
up and tried to bite the green man. The green man ran away. Henry the
dog chased the green man. The other green men ran after Henry the
dog.

Captain Dale and Doctor Christopher ran behind all of them shouting:
"Down Henry. Down Henry."

Henry the dog heard his masters calling to him. But he wasn't bothered.
He was having a lovely time chasing the green man. Round and round the
spaceship.

They must have looked a funny sight. The green men running, and Henry
the dog chasing. And Captain Dale and Doctor Christopher shouting:
"Down Henry. Down Henry."

Captain Dale and Doctor Christopher never did get to the Moon. Nor did
they get any cheese. You see they are still up there chasing Henry the
dog and the green men around the alien spaceship.
