G: A Question

A Simple Question

If I were to spin around quickly, unexpectedly,
would your face be the same as if you knew
I would be looking at you
Would I then see all your faces
the one looking at the back of my head
the one looking in your past perhaps
your childhood
possibly the face of your ancestors
looking for you in the landscape
because they can't see within your backdrop
Would these faces be hoping to see something different
perhaps the day break
perhaps witness the universe detain the sun
to flex it's muscle when it thinks you are not looking

If I turn away just as quickly
will you offer lies
to explain the different faces
And would you try to convince me that the universe
does not really detain the sun
that it is just a trick of the eye
my eye
that saw all this?
