Hand cuffs

saw a man in
hand cuffs
today
he didn't seem too unhappy

he was being led down some
stairs at a court I was waiting
at

wandered briefly what he
may have done
but found I didn't care

felt guilty for not caring

it made me think of my
father
who calls me
hand cuffs

claims I can't get my
hands out of my pockets
to buy the drinks in

made me smile
