It was in the big Pacific,
The sea was calm and blue.
Mr Jones leaned out too far,
And disappeared from view.
The shout went up, "Man overboard".
Someone threw a lifebelt.
The ship did five more miles then turned around.
All the crew and passengers were rallied for the search,
But poor old Mr Jones was never found.
Mrs Jones was all in tears,
"We're on our honeymoon."
"Oh bad luck." Said the Captain.
"To lose your man so soon."
"Bugger him." Was all she said.
"He had my wedding ring."
"It cost two hundred pounds and ninety pee."
"He had it for safe keeping, till we got back on dry land."
"And now he's gone and lost it in the sea."
