We fuck them up our mum and dad
we may not mean to but we do
we fill them with the faults we have
and add some extra just for you.

But we are fucked up in our turn
by teachers with scruffy hair
and tweed suits
who were so unbelievably stern
and got in the way of our pursuits.

Man hands on happiness to man
but it goes away
like a poor man's wealth
so be as happy as you can
by having kids yourself
