"Almost Famous, but not quite"

Last night I dreamed
Kate Hudson and I were friends.
We were at this sleepover
there was lots of chaos,
as I suspect there is always
in homes of celebrities.
Everyone was busy getting ready
for this wedding-
at least I thought it was a wedding.
Kate and I were walking around
this church in these matching burgundy
gowns full-length beauties
with flowers in our hair.
I felt like I was a celebrity, too!
For an instant I was
Almost Famous
as I smiled for the pictures,
I could smell Kurt Russell behind me
the younger me thought,
"he's so cool&;#8230;"
Goldie held Kate and I by our shoulders,
scootching us into a tight bundle of burgundy
taffeta and crinoline skirt.
Who was getting married?
Was anyone getting married?
Where were we?
Most importantly&;#8230;
when I woke up,
was it all going to be over?
